There are some changes on AvianArt.- All the images on this web site are now under the Creative Common License. Click on the image in the footer for more.
- You can click on the thumbnails and a larger version of the image pops up.
- There is no watermark on the images anymore.

I am in Germany for the time being. There will be no updates to theBird or Landscape Galleries until I return to the US. I added a new Gallerycalled 'Impressions from Germany', which contains images from the staying herein Germany/Europe.

It is quite a while since I added some photos. Yesterday I added a nice photo of a Northern Cardinal who feeds its chick. I had this before, but I like this photo the most. Today I added 3 new Birds : Chipping Sparrow,Tufted Titmouse and the Carolina Chickadee. Oh and I changed the list in the galleries so that you can sort it now. Just click on the Head title 'Gallery','Status' or 'Date'. If you click it twice thesort oder will change.Enjoy

We finally made it. We moved from Florida into the hot of bird country - Texas. Since we had to move our servers too you might have had some difficulties accessing this web site or sending me email. Sorry for that, everything should be up and running now. Happy Shooting

As you can see there is no image of the week at the moment.The Cattle Egret will stay for a while. I will change it backto the image of the week later. After all, a 1st price deserves to be displayed on the front page.;)
You should now be able to click on all images in the bird gallery to get the larger version.Also, I am planing to install a Macro & Close-up gallery.This is one of my hidden passion. I already took M&C images in the beginning of the 80's with my FM-2 and a tamron macro lens.Now with the D2H and the SB-800 I am back on this topic.Let's see what happens. Happy shooting

Hi,This is the first log entry. I changed some things on AvianArt, which you will appreciate. Here is a list of the most important things :- The design of AvianArt has changed. One of the reason was the scrolling on smaller displays. - AvianArt has now a logo, thank you very much Ela (My better half). - You may now click on the image name, below the image, to get a larger version of it. This should give you a better idea of the quality of the image. The most images don't exist in a larger version, yet. Because I still have to convert a few ;) Still, you have to have a calibrated monitor to see the correct colors. And the printout will look much better than on a computer display.;) - This Logbook was installed. I try to keep now track of all the changes regarding AvianArt and write them in the Logbook. So that you know what was added, removed or had changed. - The main pages in the Galleries have an Updated/Added column. The update stays red for 5 days when there was an addition/change in the sub category.Which means when I update the images to the large version in each category there will be a red Updated.Enjoy the images on AvianArt and happy shooting.
